Enabling products and categories for a store

Last updated 26/03/2021

Overview

This article explains how to use the Products module to enable products and categories to appear on a B2B Online Store. This is useful when adding a new product to a store and for showing customers only specific kinds of products.

Enabling a product for a B2B store

  1. In the Products module, select an existing product or create a new product.
  2. Under “Classifications”, select the B2B store as one of the product’s Channels.

Display sort options

By default, products are displayed in alphabetical order on a B2B store. However, they can be set to appear in a different order of preference.

  1. Under “WebSite Options”, enter a number in the Sort field.
  2. The number determines its order of appearance. (For example, if “1” is entered, the product displays first on the store).

Enabling a category for a B2B store

  1. In the Products module, select the edit symbol for a category, or create a new category or sub-category.
  2. Under “WebSite Options”, select Show Category on B2B.

Products in a category will display on a store even if the category is not enabled.

Display sort options

By default, categories are displayed alphabetically on a B2B store. Alternatively, they can be set to appear in a different order of preference.

  1. Under “WebSite Options”, enter a number in the Sort field.
  2. The number determines its order of appearance. (For example, if “1” is entered, the product displays first on the store).
