Downloading Classes from QuickBooks Online

Classes can be applied to individual products in Cin7 to refine your QuickBooks Online Financial Reports.


QuickBooks Online (QBO) provides Classes to "tag" line items in QBO to refine your QBO reports.

Cin7 will download the Classes from QBO. Classes will appear in the Products Type drop-down list in the Products Module.

Cin7 allows for one Class to be applied to a Product. These can be used in combination with Alternative GL Accounts.

Setting up Classes

In Cin7, Classes can be found in the Products Module. To add Classes:

  1. Set up Classes in QuickBooks Online.
  2. Log into Cin7 as an Administrator.
  3. While logged in as an Administrator, from the left navigation, select Accounting then QuickBooks Online.
  4. Classes will now appear in the Product Type drop-down list in the Products Module.
