Downloading Refunds from WooCommerce

Last updated 04/08/2019

This article outlines how to download Refunds from WooCommerce into Cin7.

Refunds in WooCommerce can be downloaded into Cin7 as Credit Notes.

Setting up Refund Download

By default, downloading credit notes is turned off. To set up this feature:

  1. Whilst logged in as an Administrator, from the left navigation, select Integrations, then WooCommerce.
  2. Click Settings, top right.
  3. Make sure the Orders section is checked (it may already be checked).
  4. From the Orders menu check two things:
    • Check Refunded from the Order Status menu.
    • Check Create Credit Notes From Refunds and Returns.
  5. At the bottom of the page click Save Settings.

Downloading Credit Notes

Refunds are downloaded at the same time as downloading orders. If there is a refund against an order in WooCommerce it will create a Credit Note in Cin7.

If the credit is marked as 'restocked' in WooCommerce, it will download an open Credit Note in Cin7 - so you can receive the stock at a later date, otherwise it will download a completed Credit Note.

Note after performing a refund in WooCommerce you will need to click Update under Order actions so that the order gets modified and can be picked up by Cin7.

Will this sync my store credits to Cin7?

At this stage we do not sync store credits between Cin7 and WooCommerce.
