Uploading Products into WooCommerce from Cin7

Last updated 25/02/2021

How to upload products from Cin7 into WooCommerce.

Cin7 can upload product information into WooCommerce. As WooCommerce has more fields than Cin7, after uploading you'll need to add in additional information into WooCommerce (i.e., SEO information).

There are a few prerequisites for products to be uploaded:

  • The product has not already been matched to an existing product in WooCommerce.
  • The product has the WooCommerce channel ticked in its product details page.

It is recommended that if products already exist in WooCommerce, you first download and map products to avoid creating duplicate products in WooCommerce. See the Downloading Products from WooCommerce Help article for additional information.

Uploading Products

By default Update Products is switched off; to enable it:

  1. From the left navigation, select Integrations then WooCommerce.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Enable Upload Products.
  4. At the bottom of this page, select Save Settings.

To upload products:

  1. From the left navigation, select Integrations then WooCommerce.
  2. From the Product Status tile, select Upload Products.
  3. Select Upload Products.
This will upload all products in the list below. To download these products in a spreadsheet, select Download Products.
To filter this list, search for products below. Selecting Upload Products when the list is filtered will only upload the products shown in the list.
  4. When products are uploaded from Cin7 to WooCommerce, the products upload as "draft" products in WooCommerce.

I have changed a product detail in Cin7. Can I upload this change to WooCommerce?

Cin7 can only upload products to WooCommerce once; changes thereafter have to be made manually in both systems.
