Using Multiple Tax Rates in the POS (US only)

How to use different tax rates for different branches in the POS.

Overview


If you sell across multiple states where taxes differ, each POS (Point of Sale) will need to have its own tax rate.

Before changing the POS, make sure the taxes have been set up correctly in Cin7 first.

To change the tax rate:

  1. Log in to POS and choose your branch.
  2. Select the Tax link between Discount and Total in the top center of the screen.
  3. All tax rates set up for your account should be available; select one.
  4. The tax rate will now be correct for your region.
