Editing B2B Page Content

Within each B2B site are some static pages, this article explains how to configure them.

Overview


Although it is not possible to customize your B2B site's appearance, you can configure the following static pages:

  • Home Page
  • Terms & Conditions
  • Delivery & Returns
  • Contact Us

These pages contain boilerplate details by default, so you will need to add your own information before launching your site.

All pages on the B2B site are edited through the Webcentral portal.

Finding the Editor


To access the Webcentral portal:

  1. Log in as an administrator.
  2. From the left navigation select Admin then Cin7 Online B2B.
  3. Click on Web Central at the top right of the dash.
    Webcentral will open in a new tab.

Editing a Page


From the Webcentral page, choose a page to edit by clicking Change.

In the following page, you will see the content of the page divided between one or a number of 'free form text' boxes. Free form text boxes are the building blocks of a page. A page can include a number of different free-form text boxes.

To change the content of a free form text box:

  1. Click Change at the top of a box.
  2. Add in new content into the Summary box, by either typing directly into the box, or using the Word editor to add formatted text.
    If you use the Word editor, remember to click the disk icon to save your progress.
  3. Add in a title, image and Alt text for the image if desired.
  4. Click Save Template to save the changes.

You can add additional free-form text boxes to a page by clicking Create New Free Form Text Box. This option will take you to the Word editor directly. Clicking on the disk icon will save your work and create a free form text box on the page.

Alternatively, you can add a template - this is a premade free form text box. There are three templates set up by default:

  • Home Fading Image with Title - suited to the home page, for rotating images.
  • Paragraph - suitable for a large chunk of formatted text with an image.
  • CSS - This is a legacy field that is no longer supported.

Changing the Order of Boxes


If you have multiple free form text boxes on a page, you can change the order of the boxes:

  1. Change the sort number of the box. This is a drop-down box with a number in it.
    The lower the number the higher it appears on a page.
  2. Click Save Box Order.

Changing Page Options


Each page has a number of different options. To change the options, click on Page Options at the top of the page.

Main Details

Web Page Title

Changes the title of the page.

Layout Display

Body Sections

Each page can have a maximum of two columns. The width of each column can be changed by choosing the ratio from this drop-down.

If a second column is added, in the page we will see an additional area for adding new free-form text boxes.

Text Box Spacing

Controls the space between each free form text box on a page.

Layout, Sub LayoutPrint Layout, Mobile Layout, Display Link In:

These fields are not applicable to the B2B site - so just leave them as the defaults.

Navigation Bar Display

Nav Bar Name

Controls the name of the page when it appears in the Nav Bar.

Nav Bar Sort Order

Controls the placement of the page in the nav bar.

Show in Header Nav

If set to Yes, will show a link to the page at the very top left of the screen in all pages.

Show in Top Nav

If set to Yes, this will show a link to the page in the Navigation bar, next to categories.

Show in Left Nav, Show in Footer Nav, Navigation Level, Hide Application Page

These fields are not applicable to the B2B site - so just leave them as the defaults.

Changing the Home Page Banners


The homepage by default consists of a wide carousel of two or more images, each image has an optimum dimension of 1000px by 430px.

To change them:

  1. Whilst in Webcentral, click Change next to Home.
  2. Click Change next to Home Fading Images with Title.
  3. Upload an image by clicking Insert Image.
  4. Click Browse to find the image.
  5. Click Upload to upload the image to the server.
  6. Finally, click Insert Image.
  7. Click Save Template to save your changes.

Underneath this are two rectangular images for promotional offers, their optimal size is 480px wide by 450px high.

To change them:

  1. Whilst in Webcentral, click Change next to Home.
  2. Click Change to the right or left image.
  3. Delete the placeholder image.
  4. Click on the image button at the bottom left of the top menu.
  5. Click Browse to find the image.
  6. Click Upload to upload the image to the server.
  7. Finally, click Insert Image.
  8. Click Save Template to save your changes.

Changing where the Contact Us Form results are sent


The Contact Us page includes a form. An important thing to change is the delivery address for form. To change this:

  1. Whilst in Webcentral, click Change next to the contact page.
  2. Click Change next to Email Address to receive form content.
  3. Replace the placeholder email address with the email address to which you'd like forms sent.

Is it possible to add my own HTML, CSS or scripts to the site?

It is not currently possible to add any additional code to the site.
