The stocktake function allows you to count stock 'in the field' using a smartphone or tablet, then sync your stock counts back to Cin7 to create an adjustment or adjustments.
It can be used for your initial stocktake, or any subsequent stocktake you make throughout the year.
The stocktake can be found within the Pick 'n' Pack app.
This article explains how to set up the Pick 'n' Pack app, count stock, and then complete the stocktake through the backend.
On your PC, tablet or smartphone navigate to http://pnp.cin7.com/Cloud/PicknPack/Client/picknpack.html
You can bookmark this link if you need to return to it frequently - it will never change.
Next you will need to find some details from the backend:
In the Pick 'n' Pack app, enter the details from above and click save.
In the next screen, enter the username and password for your Cin7 acocunt.
There are two key things you must do before starting your stocktake. First, reset your stock counts in the stocktake master:
In the Pick 'n' Pack app:
You are now ready to begin counting stock.
There should be one tab on the Pick N Pack Screen called ‘Not Counted’.
To count each item you can either:
Once you have counted one item, a new tab will appear for items counted.
Continue counting all items until there are no more products in the ‘Not Counted’ tab.
You can scan the same product twice, with a log recording the individual counts
If you find that you have items remaining, this may be because you have no stock of this item in real life, but you currently have stock in the system. Any products that have stock need to be counted and a count of 0 entered.
Once you have finished counting all your stock press or click the sync button at the top of the Pick N Pack.
You can see that there is a number in brackets to the right of the 'Sync' button, which is the number of products being sent back to the backend.
In the stocktake master module in the Backend, click Sync Latest Data which will pull the data from the mobile stocktake to the Stocktake Master module.
Finally click ‘Process Counts’ to start the adjustment creation process.
The system will alert you if there are missing products from the stocktake.
Click 'Continue without not counted products' and you will be given a summary of the differences.
Click 'Continue with Adjusting these Variances' and in the next page click 'Import New Adjustments'.
This final step will create Adjustments in the Adjustments module, which will either increase or decrease your stock.
